The Mobile Image – Mobile Photography
“The Best camera is the one you have with you” is becoming a common phrase these days in the era of ever-improving smartphone cameras. The high quality camera in smartphones has become increasingly popular while the images they produce can be remarkably amazing. Photographers no longer have to carry around large DSLRs and a bag full of lenses to produce stellar images. We will explore both the advantages and current limitations to these tiny cameras and explore a variety of techniques to improve your mobile images. We will also look at a number of popular apps that allow you to customize both your shooting experience and the resulting images.
TBA; 10:00am - 2:00pm at the St. Marys Center.  $55

Basic Digital Photography - If you are interested in learning more about how to use your digital camera besides just “pointing and shooting” then you will want to take this course. You will learn about framing, composition, and creativity in taking great pictures. Topics will include taking not just good, but great pictures; introducing basic camera functions and their uses; taking pictures beyond the ordinary; and handling special scenes, including backlit scenes, sports and action photos, family and children portraits, landscapes, close-ups, and macro photography. You will need to bring your own digital camera.
TBA; 5:30pm - 8:30pm at the St. Marys Center. $75
