Funded through state and federal grants administered by the Division of Adult Education, classes are offered at the CareerLinks ® McKean and Potter counties; at the Community Education Center in Elk County; and at the McKean County Jail.
Instruction includes an emphasis on basic skills, GED® preparation, and workforce development. Adult students are encouraged to set goals related to continuing education and employment. Instructors also serve as case managers and assist students in achieving these goals through advocacy and referrals to appropriate agencies. Distance learning also is available through a collaborative effort with Pennsylvania’s Distance Learning Project.
